Initial Visit and Estimate Terms and Conditions
These Initial Visit and Estimate Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all initial consultations, site visits, inspections, and estimate appointments scheduled with ProTech Fix Home Improvement (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By scheduling or accepting an appointment, the customer (“Customer” or “you”) agrees to these Terms.
1. Purpose of Initial Visit
The purpose of an initial visit, phone consultation, free estimate, or on-site consultation is to review the project, discuss the requested services, inspect visible conditions, and provide preliminary recommendations, pricing information, or a written estimate if appropriate.
2. No Guarantee of Contract
An initial visit, consultation, or estimate does not create a construction contract or obligate either party to proceed with any work. No project shall begin unless and until both parties agree in writing to the final scope of work, pricing, and terms.
3. Access to Property
Customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the property, work area, and any relevant spaces necessary for inspection. The Company may refuse or stop an appointment if conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, hazardous, or materially different from what was described at the time of booking.
4. Accuracy of Customer Information
Customer is responsible for providing accurate contact information, property address, project details, and any known conditions relevant to the requested services. The Company is not responsible for delays, pricing changes, or appointment issues caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.
5. Estimates and Pricing
Any estimate, quote, or pricing discussed during the initial visit is based on visible conditions and information available at that time. Final pricing may change if hidden damage, code issues, structural concerns, material changes, site access limitations, or additional labor requirements are later discovered.
6. Hidden Conditions
The Company is not responsible for identifying concealed, latent, or hidden conditions during an initial visit unless specifically agreed in writing. This includes, but is not limited to, water damage, mold, structural defects, electrical issues, plumbing issues, framing problems, code violations, or subfloor and wall conditions not visible during the appointment.
7. Measurements, Photos, and Notes
During the appointment, the Company may take measurements, photographs, videos, and notes for the purpose of evaluating the project, preparing estimates, documenting conditions, and planning possible work. By booking the appointment, Customer authorizes the Company to collect such information for business purposes related to the requested services.
8. Customer Responsibility for Decision-Making
Customer understands that any estimate or recommendation provided during the initial visit is preliminary unless confirmed in writing. Customer is responsible for reviewing any final proposal, scope of work, materials, exclusions, and payment terms before authorizing work.
9. Scheduling and Cancellations
Appointments are subject to availability. Customers should cancel or reschedule with reasonable notice. The Company reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, emergencies, scheduling conflicts, unsafe conditions, or other business or site-related reasons.
10. Free Estimates
If the Company offers a free estimate, that free estimate is limited to the evaluation and discussion of the proposed project. Additional design work, extensive planning, multiple return visits, specialized inspections, or consulting services may require a separate charge.
11. No Professional Design or Engineering Services
Unless specifically agreed in writing, the Company does not provide licensed architectural, engineering, or legal services as part of an initial visit or estimate. Any comments made during the visit are based on general contractor experience and do not replace professional design, engineering, legal, or code compliance advice.
12. Limitation of Reliance
Customers agree that any preliminary discussion, estimate, or recommendation given during the initial visit is informational in nature and should not be solely relied upon as a final project plan, guaranteed price, or binding commitment.
13. Right to Decline Work
The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to decline to provide an estimate, proposal, or services for any project, including where project conditions, customer requirements, timeline expectations, safety concerns, or scope issues are not suitable for the Company.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
15. Acceptance
By scheduling, requesting, or attending an initial consultation, estimate, or on-site visit with ProTech Fix Home Improvement, Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
